Team
Gabriel Freire is the General Manager of Geotech Software LTDA, bringing almost 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and numerical modeling applied to underground and open pit mining projects. Since 2011, Gabriel has participated in several international courses on geotechnical software in countries such as Chile, Brazil, the United States and Australia, under the tutelage of some of the greatest experts in the field.
With a solid academic background, Gabriel studied master's courses at the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP) and the Universidad de los Andes (Chile). Since 2017, Gabriel has been providing specialized training in numerical modeling software, in various methods such as Finite Element Method (FEM), Boundary Element Method (BEM) and Limit Equilibrium (LEM), training more than 200 geologists and engineers in Brazil and abroad.
His track record includes consulting and projects in major global mining markets, such as Canada, the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Oman, Australia, among others, contributing directly to high-level technical reports, such as those intended for certifications
NI 43-101 and JORC.
He holds Fellow status from AusIMM (Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy), which means that the professional has been recognized for his experience, leadership and outstanding contributions to the mining and metallurgy industries, being a title granted only to members who have demonstrated a significant commitment to the advancement of the industry, which includes involvement in highly relevant projects, collaboration in technical studies and global certifications.
